Feeling compelled to explore common objects in more of a pop art context, I was drawn to the ordinary bread tag. Such an ordinary item but one that has been a part of everyday life since the 1950s. The shape and the color inspired me to dress up this ignored household item with some color and a whole lot of shine. I felt the right pairing was vintage sequins, some metal. This piece really shines and makes you think about the everyday items around you.
